Hi. I just joined. I feel silly, but for years, I heard people teasing about the Ducks and the duckboard. I knew they were B/A shippers, but I didn't realize it was your real real name. Well, anyway. I love Angel and Buffy, and I love David, I love Sarah, I love BTVS/ATS, and I did absolutely adore watching the two characters fall in love.
Well, I love Xander and Nick more than anyone on the planet, but I digress. The reason I joined, I saw such a ruckus about your ad for Sarah, I looked for the ad, and I thought it was wonderful. I decided to hunt you down and join up to say hey. I think you're all great! I'm not a huge shipper at all. I was just more into the stories than anything. My favorite ship, I guess, was Xander/Cordy, and you saw how that turned out  Anyway, I think it's mean, the animosity people have directed toward this board just because you're loyal to two characters you love a lot. I love every character and every actor on both shows. Well, I didn't much care for Amy the Rat. She was just mean. And Larry, for some reason, just bugged me.  The SMG ad was just beautiful. I bet she just loved it. She looked like an absolute goddess. Bye everyone. Nickmaniac |

Hi, I'm obviously a newbie here.
Learnt about you guys from Tara, she's great so I thought it was about time to register and say how great it is here. I'm quite a newbie to the internet (although I am a mod at TDBUK in another life and user name) so I've not been around much yet so I'll probably just lurk mostly until I get to know you guys a bit. I'm slowly finding my way around and have felt right at home. I love BTVS and ATS.. mostly I have to admit, for David and I so love Angel............... drool.  Loved the first 3 season of BTVS best for obvious reasons...cough, who wouldn't. I've never had my heart broken by a TV show before or since like it has in the jossverse shows. sigh. Although I try to stay ship free I'm always interested in how we all relate to the characters on both shows. I think I like the comedy the most, especially on Buffy. My youngest son is a huge Buffy fan and he introduced me to this wonderful world of Vampires and the slayer. My favourite BTVS show is probably 'Surprise'. And for ATS, I will remember you. I loved that episode. A funny choice for my favs from someone who says she likes the comedy. LOL I think I quite like the romance too.  LOLAs you may have gathered I'm not a spring chicken, more an old boiler!!!LOL I like your smilies...  |

Well I've been at Blade's Buffy Angel Haven a lot, I've also been at the WB board a lot lately. I'm not really a lurker, I've just been on this board sporadically.

I am Mel from the land down under & to my enternal shame I didnt discover the wonder that is BtVS till 2004 when my 15 year old used to watch the reruns on fox & one day I watched with her. OMG I was hooked & now own S1-7, ATS 1-5 & all the Buffy books, lots of Angel Posters (hmm Angel yum) & I lurk on all the forums looking for new B/A fanfic to fan my imagination. I cant write for nuts so I totally respect all you talent folk that can & to me there is no other pairing apart from Angel & Buffy. Well ok I like W/O too but A/C, spuffy, B/R yuckkkkkkkkk. However each to their own !! I am so sad that lots of great B/A sites are closing all over the place & I am so grateful to these who are still updating their WIP's & producing new pieces for me to sigh over. I love Ducks work & Gia's work is always such a pleasure to read. I dont know how many times I have read Secrets & Lies since I stumbled across it but its up there with the best. I am more than happy to share my bookmarks with everybody & am always rapped to get recommendations off you all for good fic. See ya Mel |
